Author and artist, Lily Williams, loves using humor and heart to connect audiences of all ages to science, art, and the creative journey. Her talks range from broad topics such as illustration, animation, breaking into the creative field, and finding your artistic voice — to specific talks about her process of writing a children’s book, and combining art and science to educate.  Lily enjoys connecting with people and their inner creativity.

School visits consist of grades Pre-K through college. Conferences/conventions/panels not included in this price list, please contact directly if you are interested in booking Lily for your larger event. Lily is based in Denver, CO.


Draw My Life Pre-K – 4th Grade How did Lily become an author/illustrator? With a focus school on her shark art and ocean health activism, this talk is the best for younger audiences and grade combo larger groups!

Art + Science • 5th Grade – College A behind the scenes look at fact-finding and how Lily distills scientific concepts to illustrate. Touching on fact checking, reliable sources, and working with scientists with an emphasis on If Sharks Disappeared.

Art and the Internet • Middle School – College The internet can be a powerful tool for creatives when used well. How to protect your art online and how Lily got her first book deal thanks to the magic of the world wide web. Read more about that here.

Art: A Career High School – College This motivational talk is geared for older students and focuses on the realities of making art a career. Highlights include embracing who you are, proper pricing, and the importance of manners. This talk has been given at Solano Community College, California College of the Arts, and Woodbury University.

Lily is happy to do a free 30 minute Skype on Q&A with school or library groups that have already read and discussed If Sharks Disappearedbooks, provided the school has purchased 10 copies of Lily’s book.


If you want to host Lily for a school visit, please work with your local bookstores for book ordering and sales. Lily will bring a USB with the presentation file on it, the school will need to provide computer, projector, please and microphone for larger spaces.
