I was asked in July by my friend and former professor, Caitlin Kuhwald, if I would join her cool initiative to get people to shelterin place while donating to fantastic nonprofits. This venture, called Coloring in Place, is a hub featuring some incredibly talented artists where you can buy $1 coloring sheets for you or your family members. Every single cent made will be donated to a monthly nonprofit. For the month of August, the nonprofit is Fair Fight Action – an organization dedicated to protecting American’s right to vote.
This is a great way to help causes that are so important while sheltering in place and making some art too!
My Coloring pages were an opportunity to flex that muscle and have some fun with it. What resulted are several fashion illustrations from me of historical wear throughout history. I hope you enjoy!I’m incredibly inspired by historical outfits and extant historical garments, though I often do little with that excitement and inspiration.
